One
of the big difference you will notice now is the proportions
we give to the female's over all structure. It is much more
delicate than the males, and it's center of balance is a
bit
lower. Another thing to remember is that the shoulder
length of the female is shorter than the male's.
The next step is something I like to call cones and cubes
( I
know, funny name right). When filling out a body after making
an outline, you want to still keep with simple shapes. This
is because you want to make sure you get the proportions
of each body part right before going on to putting in details
( you don't want to draw some giant sized musclular body,
with a tiny head). And from what you will see, alot of the
shapes you can use are deformed cones or cubes.
If you look at the joints of the body now, you can see I
have fleshed them out a little from just small circles (arrow).
These new shapes I am using I like to call lanters ( because
thats what the look like to me ^__^). Basically, what the
joints are now is a larger circle to represent the Knee/Elbow/ankle,
as conecting space that joins the actual limbs. If you look
at the elbow you can kind of think of it as an elbow pad
(arrow).
The hands
and feet I flesh out just a tad more, still keeping with
a simple shape. But as you can see I am now adding small
bumps which will represnt finger digits later on.
